What Is a CBD Vape Additive?

A CBD vape additive is a flavorless CBD oil designed to be diluted and mixed into other e-juices or vape oils. CBD additives are manufactured under the premise of giving the user the option of enhancing their favorite vape juice formula with CBD without having to compromise on flavor, smoothness, or brand.

CBD vape additives work by being diluted into another vape juice but keeping the flavor and consistency profile of the original e-juice intact. If the flavor or consistency of the original formulation is altered then it means the CBD vape additive is not of the highest quality.

One of the main advantages of vaping CBD is the faster onset and accurate dosing this consumption method provides. That is why here at Hemmfy we carry so many CBD vape products in a variety of product sub-categories like disposables, prefilled carts, and the reason why we’re here CBD vape additives.

Much like any of the other CBD vape product categories mentioned above, CBD vape additives address a variety of needs. Whether it’s kicking back and relaxing or getting active, CBD companies try to dig into as many potential uses as possible during the research & development stage.

There are many types of hemp extracts and CBD oils available in the market today. As a matter of fact, we carry a ton of CBD oils as well. But the formulation behind oils and CBD additives is a bit different. While some oils can be vaporized, a great portion of them is not formulated for vaporization. We suggest never to try vaping hemp oil that is not explicitly formulated for vaping purposes because it may be noxious to your health.

While traditional CBD oils are meant to be ingested orally or sublingually, CBD vape additives are made with a VG/PG ratio that allows the product to be vaped along with your favorite e-juices.

Different Types of CBD Vape Additives

If you’re familiar with CBD extracts in general then you might already know that there are three different kinds of CBD extract. And that when we say CBD extract, what we usually mean is hemp extract. In other words, the oil that is extracted from the hemp plant.

The reason for that is that hemp crops are considered federally legal across the United States, while other cannabis crops that may contain CBD are not. On the other hand, hemp has a higher concentration of CBD than other cannabis varieties.

Hemp Extract

That said:

Depending on the type of extraction process the manufacturer uses, the resulting extract can be made with 1 of 3 different hemp extracts:

1. Full Spectrum

Full-spectrum hemp extract is the most complete extract of the bunch. It contains all the components and cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. This includes up to 0.3% of THC when it comes to industrial hemp extract.

2. Broad Spectrum

Broad-spectrum extract is very much like full-spectrum, the only difference is that broad-spectrum has a 0% THC content. As for other components and cannabinoids, broad-spectrum extract carries them all.

CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is the most unique extract of the bunch. Once the hemp extract is produced, the CBD is separated from the oil to create CBD isolate. In other words, CBD isolates only include CBD content.

[h2] Advantages of Using a CBD Vape Additive

There are multiple advantages when it comes to using a CBD vape additive. Some of which we’ve discussed above, others which are completely new to the party:

1. Using Your Favorite e-Juice

The best and most common advantage mentioned of CBD vape additives is the fact that any frequent vaper usually has a favorite vape juice already. So making the switch to a new vape flavor just because it has CBD in the formula might seem like more of a hassle than a good thing.

That’s why CBD vape additives come in handy. They allow you to keep using the same vape juice you’re already used to. Not only that, high-quality CBD additives will not change the flavor or consistency of your e-juice, but will still enhance it with CBD.

2. Greater Bioavailability

While this is not necessarily an advantage of CBD additives alone, it is a feature of vapeable CBD in general. Because it is absorbed through the tissue on the surface of your lungs rather than having to go through the entire digestive system like an edible, vape CBD products provide a greater bioavailability [1].

Because vaped CBD bypasses the liver and gut, it means that CBD is not broken down further and more of it is able to be absorbed efficiently by the body, therefore more of it is able to reach the bloodstream. This gives CBD a greater bioavailability.

3. Faster Onset

The explanation for a faster onset is somewhat similar to that of greater bioavailability. Because CBD is absorbed through the lungs, it doesn’t have to go through the complicated and often slow process of being processed by the digestive system.

Because of this, CBD will reach the bloodstream faster than it would if ingested as an edible substance. This means that the effects of CBD will be apparent much faster than if it were consumed as an edible.

Wrapping Up

A CBD vape additive is a dilutable CBD oil you can add to your favorite e-juices without altering the flavor and overall consistency of the product. CBD vape additives are made to enhance other vape juices and they can be made using 1 of 3 different types of hemp extract. Because they can be vaped instead of ingested orally, CBD vape additives provide an array of benefits and advantages when compared to other CBD product categories. Among which features like a greater bioavailability and a faster onset may stand out from the bunch.
